The word "monument" comes from the Latin word "monere", which means "to remind." For thousands of years, mankind has chosen monuments of various forms to remember our loved ones, our honored ones, and our dear ones.
Towering obelisks and spires, statues, columns, gravestones, cenotaphs, slant and grass markers, and benches are all found on the lush green, rolling hillside. Materials might include marble, granite, and bronze, and range from the simplest marker to the most elaborately detailed engraving and sculpture. The choices are yours, and are not dictated by the cemetery association. We specifically do not require flush grass markers or other commemorative for our convenience, but will conform our care and maintenance to meet your desires.
We would remind grieving families that your selection of grave site memorial does not need to necessarily be made at the time of burial. The best time to make such decisions is when you are ready. Typically, you will work directly with the monument maker, or through a mortuary service, but that choice is yours. The completed monument will be delivered and installed for you.
